UPDATE: I edited the cover model (v2) for improved screw fitment. Increased the chamfer to better recess a common M3 x 8mm flat head. Using this model (purchased from local hardware, not Amazon) in the new image uploaded…

UPDATE2: Added a non-rounded version (use the same back cover).

ORIGINAL: Lot of beer tap handles, but I liked the appearance of the round model from @wrelsien_105024, but needed to fix a few things. Just needs one small screw to hold the back cover on, one 3/18-16 nut, and a passive eInk display. Not sure what screws I'm using to attach the cover, they're ~3mm c 8mm with a chamfered Phillips head. Using standard 3/18-16 nuts. I'm using Waveshare 2.66inch e-Paper Modules that came with zero documentation. Thankfully their site is pretty helpful…

These are sold on Amazon as a 2.7inch model…

Their mobile app isn't easy to find, but their is a link to it on the page for their 4.2in model…

The app feels extremely unfinished, but it works well once you figure out the basics. Much easier to create your display images elsewhere and only use the app to upload to the module IMO.

Printing is pretty simple, with no supports needed. I like the way shiny or dual color prints look using the Octogram Spiral bottom/top layer infill patterns as you can see in the pics. Still want to test with some wood filaments but haven't had a chance yet.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This is specifically in regards to the rounded version of the previous model. This model was created from scratch, but copied the basic architectural design.

I tried to keep the aesthetics of the rounded model, but too much rounding was causing significant printing issues. The new design is ~10mm thinner, ~2mm deeper, and approximately the same height. I also removed the angle of handle, but may add it back in a different version.

Fixes:

  1. Back cover now fits properly.
  2. Edge filets do not cause open air printing.
  3. Back cover now securely attaches to handle.
  4. Nut recess now shows up in slicer.
  5. Screw holes are aligned.
  6. Back cover only requires one screw.
  7. Improved the window relative to live display.
  8. Tightened fitment of E Ink display in handle.
