Hello everyone, long time no see. Today I bring you a 3d model of a MTB Shimano rear derailleur, model RD-M592. This wheel is compatible with many more derailleurs, even from other brands.
Nevertheless, here are a few important notes:
I printed it in standard PLA over a year ago and it already survived more than 500 km. I do not think it would survive a long time exposed to UV radiation and heat.
There is an attached picture after application (new). And current state (don't mind the mess).
After printing, i sanded a bit of the inside hole to better accommodate the steel sleeve, as it does not have a bearing in it.
I also sanded the outer sides of the engaging teeth to not get stuck in the chain links. I printed it with concentring layers, 6 wall lines and 30% infill (I think as I don't have the file with me right now).
Even with that 5 min sanding, I did not make changes to the model as different printers could induce other problems. (My printer is not that good)
I propose to use a drill bit with the same diameter as the inner steel sleeve to enlarge the hole to de correr dimensions, if it doesn't fit properly.
You, MTB'ers out there, put a little of grease in that thing to reduce heating from friction.
Any question, feel free to ask.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
