Before I made this print, I used to hang my hot air gun on the pegboard over my workbench using a long hook - it sort of worked but it was awkward to get it to hang right.  This “holster” holds the gun in a convenient position, and it is easy to grab it and re-hang it.

This was made to fit a Harbor Freight hot air gun - the model is a common one sold by a lot of vendors so if your hot air gun looks like the one in the picture it will probably work for you. If you would like to measure, the diameters of the large and small ends of the “holster” are 70mm and 61mm, spaced 50mm apart.

This should work on all pegboards - inch or metric.

I do have one concern about the design - the layers for the hooks are not oriented in the optimal direction for strength.  However, although I've only been using it for a short time it seems to hold up pretty well.

The OnShape 3D CAD files for this are here:

Print Instructions

Print in PLA using the 3mf files provided. Otherwise, setting perimeters = 4 is recommended.

It's probably possible to print all three parts at the same time, but I did not try this.
