This is a replacement cover for the Panasonic Lumix GX-8 battery door accessory opening. It is placed INSIDE the door. It's not water proof, but it will help seal out dust.

This is a replacement cover for the Panasonic Lumix GX-8 battery door accessory opening. It is placed INSIDE the door.
I put a piece of foam tape on the inside surface to hold it in place against the bottom of the battery.

It is not waterproof, but should help keep out dust. (One could put a thin o-ring about the circular part to make it more resistant.)

It does have to be removed and stored elsewhere (like a lens cap).
