My son had a project where he had to build a bridge from materials from home and put it together at school, the winner was the bridge that held the most weight.  We may have stretched the idea of the project but technically it was from materials at home and not purchased.  The parts are made to fit on the MK3S table, put together using bolts, I am sure it could have been improved more but we were under a time constraint for the project.  Each side, bottom, top and deck were made in two pieces, the deck is push fit but the rest is bolted.

The deck is actually 3 parts as he wanted his name on it so i split it and then have one plate in the middle you can add a name or have people guess why it is there i suppose.  I don't know how much it can actually hold but it can hold a grade 3 kid so should be alright.  (the challenge was to be strong enough to hold the teachers phone between two desks)

Will try to update as we will be making some legs and maybe more as my son decides what he wants.  The plan was done by him, i just helped with the computer work.
