Maryland my Maryland…
Wanted to make a replica of my state's state road signs, so I figured I'd share it here with you guys!
3mf file is configured to print on a MINI with PETG. You can change the filament to whatever you like tho (PLA, ASA, etc). You can edit the textbox to whatever number to your liking. No OpenScad required! You must have the FHWA (Highway Gothic) fonts installed to make an accurate sign! Due to this font being public domain as it was made by the US Federal Highway Administration, you can download it off any font site without issue, though I've provided a zip of them for convenience.
This model supports 2 digits (00-99) at regular/default size (series D), or 3 (000-999) at condensed size (series B). Lmk if you want the slightly wider variant that supports 3 digits at narrow size (series C).
You may scale this up or down as you like on the X and Y axes, I recommend keeping the Z axis the same to maintain rigidity and to keep the color change from screwing up.
Leave a like and a make if you like this. Lmk in the comments if you want other US state route signs as well!
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
