This is a replacement shower drain strainer for shower drains with a ~3" strainer. The source CAD for this can be found in this onshape file.
I printed in out of Overture Easy Nylon at a 0.2 layer height and using a 0.4mm nozzle. I used nylon mostly for durability, but from a practical standpoint I think that PETG or even PLA would be fine.
When printing, I printed in the orientation shown in the STL file. The wide flat “rim” around the edge was held up by supports. If you are using a material with easier support separation that Nylon, you might be able to change that orientation and still get a good print.
