E3D Tool Changer Height Adjustable Pebble Wiper V2.1

I have implemented your solution and it works great. However I have the problem now, that your height adjustable pebble wiper occupies one of the stepper ports (for height adjustment), as I need them for something else. I thought about attaching the pebble wiper to the printed (at the metal plate). This way it would be height adjustable through the z axis. Do you see a problem with that?
Alternatively I could use a servo instead of a stepper for the height adjustment.
