I kept of thinking up ways to redo the previous versions, and I've come to a good compromise between wanting to improve this model, and my sanity.

Again, I wanted a holder for my phone with a thick TPU case, so overall it measures around 6.5 inch by 3 1/8ths inch and around 1.2cm.

This time the connector is different, but still allows for a nice balanced rotation due to the placement of center of gravity. This time no support is needed like the previous version had to have.

The feet is also changed to allow for packing the whole thing flat and put away in your travel case. The feet has four holes to allow for different orientation/angle of your phone whether you're placing it level with your eyes or you're placing it lower.

(Theoretically, you can also assemble the main body the other way and have everything hanging from the feet and you can slot it somewhere stable, but I haven't fount a nice way to do it yet on my flights, maybe I'll release a different feet to allow for this. Might need also a minor rework of the main body for this as well.)

What if the dimension above doesn't match your phone? Good news, I've reworked most of the model to have variables that can be edited on the OnShape editor. There's a few variables that you can work with.

  1. PhoneHeight
  2. PhoneWidth
  3. PhoneThickness
  4. And whether you want the main body to be tall or not
  5. And whether you want the hex design or not

Most of the normal phone height and width should work, putting weird values (let's say for tablet sizes) might work, but more often than not, it throws everything out of whack. (All because I wanted everything to pack flat into the phone holder) but again, most phone sizes will work. If you have a case remember to measure the case dimensions at the highest point if possible.

There's two steps; SupressThisForNoLips and SuppressThisSketchtoKillHexagons that you can right click and click suppress to delete the lip that holds the phone in place in the phone holder, and to delete the Hexagon design.
