Display slate/plate to enlighten your makes! did some using 6x12mm neon ledstrips. (They sell as 6mm but in fact theyre 5mm)
you can get them in 5v/12v/24v I used the 12v. they can be cut every 25mm. the 5v strips can be cut every 10mm I think.
for 5v I reccomend USB type C connectors so you can just use a phone charger
for 12v I recommend 2.5mm DC connectors
note: it is a bit difficult to get a full ‘circle’ you have to cut it with some extra diffusor, remove the last bit of ledstrip and then press fit them together. this requires some thought on how to execute.
2. if the end doesn't line up perfectly try overlapping by feeding the excess ledstrip into the the other making a full circle
3. feed the excess ledstrip into the start making a full circle. note: some strips you can cut at 10mm (5v) and some at 25mm (12v) so maybe it doesn't line up and you have to be creative. you can also choose to cut the strip short (internally) and leave a section without led but it will show as a dim section. better to overlap
disclaimer: I used 3 top/bottom layers and it shows the infill pattern, maybe choose a bit more for a nicer result (it shows in the photo, the square infill)
