Stackable Mini Storage Crates

I'd been looking for some small robust stackable storage containers, with different opening options and came across Code and Make's “Stackable Storage Caddies", but after printing a few I decided I needed a slightly different solution with different options.

So taking inspiration from Code and Make's caddies, rather than remixing them, I decided to start from scratch as part of my continuing Blender learning and (so far) have come up with the model files you're looking at now.

The crates all stack, and feature three basic formats (Four sided closed box, Open end box, Open side box).

Each of the open-wall format has three different variants (Flush opening, 5mm raised opening, 10mm raised opening) and three different base/floor variants (Solid, Embossed, and Open Pattern).

Each crate variant (currently) comes in four different styles (Solid walled, Small circles/holes pattern, Diamond pattern and Hexagon pattern).

There's also a four-wall variant with no base, in case a double height option in any format is needed, and then there's a Tag-plate in two sizes (40mmx20mm and 70mmx20mm) which will fit into the holes of the Diamond or Hexagon pattern boxes) and can be used with a plastic label printer to take small labels for each crate.

If you want the tag plates, while you're welcome to print them in your filament of choice, I'd recommend printing them using TPU rather than PLA or PETG because it's more flexible and forgiving on the locating pins when moving them between crates.

I'm planning to add more pattern options, some lids, maybe some different size options, different tag sizes, maybe some different height options, but if you want or can think of any other options, please let me know in the comments, and please tag any makes - I'm always interested in seeing prints with different filaments or use cases.

Update: 2mm and 4mm thick lids added to the collection, both with upper index lip to allow addition crates to be stacked on top.

Update: (26th Aug 2023) Added a new double height crate with the diamond pattern.
