Update 1.1: 17-AUG-2023

Made several small model improvements that collectively should improve the printing experience:

  1. Made the “cone” portion of the connector smoother on the outside (looks better)
  2. Eliminated the (extremely small) overhangs where the ‘cone’ portion met the cylinder (looks better and slicers shouldn't think it needs supports)
  3. Improved the connection between the top of the ‘cone’ and the main cylinder on the 8" version to (again) eliminate a small overhang that existed before. This should look better and slicers should not think it needs supports.

Why I Developed These Models

I needed some very skinny crevice tools to vacuum some small spaces and modeled these.

They fit a vacuum that has about about a 30mm (~1.2 inch) attachment point.

I used the adapter below for my Dyson handheld vac but you may not need it, depending on your vacuum.

The main crevice tool is about 8" tall (208mm)

There is also a “needle nose” one that is slightly over 9.5" (244mm) tall and is extremely thin (8mm). It will really get into tight spaces but it is also pretty fragile.

I use the 8" one all the time and the 9.5" one more rarely.

If you have requests for a custom length or thickness, let me know in the comments.

Printing Notes

I printed these in PETG for toughness and a little more flexibility than PLA. I used 30% infill. No supports needed.

Since these are tall (especially the 9.5" one), I highly recommend using a wide brim (I used 5mm) to ensure they don't break lose from the build plate.
