When I heard about apples new feature: StandBy - I decided to design a Magsafe Dock
The Design works perfect with my iPhone 13 horizontally and vertically. I added a balljoint to slightly change the angle of your phone. Also you can turn the magsafe adapter to change the orientation of the cable. I used apple Magsafe adapter with usb-c. The cable can be hidden in the shaft and the baseplate. Allmost all parts can be Printed simultaneously in one Print. I also added some rubberfeet, you may print them in TPU separately. I used superglue to hold them in place. The other parts fit together tight, so you will not need to glue them depending on your slicer settings. The magsafecharger is fixed by double sided tape.
If you print the shaft, use tree support.
macrumors:
“StandBy is a new Lock Screen mode in iOS that activates when an iPhone is charging and positioned on its side. StandBy can thought of as a kind of smart display for your iPhone that offers fast access to different screens of glanceable information that can be viewed at a distance, when your device is charging on a kitchen, desk, or nightstand, for example. If you charge your iPhone at night, StandBy adapts to low light and takes on a red tone.” https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/use-standby-mode-iphone/
tree support worked very good. I used 3 perimeters and 10% infill for PLA and TPU just solid
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
