I had to put a PVC pipe around an existing thermally isolated pipe. We cut a PVC pipe into two sections,
where one was slipped behind and the other in front. To align the two edges, such as not to slide past,
small alignment guides were designed, to fit the curvature of the pipe closely, so as stay in place.
To ensure stability the guides were glued in, to keep them in place during construction.
The STL given here was designed for a 80 mm diameter pipe with thickness of 2.5 mm.
The design is parametric and can be changed for any pipe dimension.
