Not tested in anger yet - designed to help stop me burning my fingers and make the spanner a bit more usable when changing nozzles … wearing gloves might be simpler but who has them lying around when they need them eh?

So I printed this in ASA to help cope with heat that will inevitably creep up the spanner when hot tightening … guess PETG will be OK but PLA probably not so much??

This was a quick edit and made for a tight fit - quality of your bridges will affect that too (if they droop then the slot gap for the spanner will be thinner.

Mine needed a bit of “persuasion” to knock the spanner into the slot (doing it whilst hot will most likely help).

Hopefully a tight fit means it won't come off whilst in use or if the heat from the nozzle starts creeping up the spanner and softens the ASA.

Tested and works really well, no burnt fingers 👌

Printed this real quick in ASA, 100% (no infill), .02 layer height, obviously no supports … let me know how you get on with it if you try it.

Feel free to donate via Paypal if you appreciate this and would like to help me make more by keeping me in filament
