I came up with this disc hanger due to a lack of space in my apartment. The ground was all filled up and I had to look elsewhere for inspiration. There she was, a gas pipe running across my ceiling, collecting dust without a purpose. I knew what had to be done...
---
This hanger solves a footprint problem, that may plague you as it did me. No longer!
Hang this bad boy over any stick shaped object and watch as your discs flop over each other and meld into a mesmerizing collage of colors.
---
The whole design is modular, so you can keep adding hangers as your addiction for disc golf feeds your evergrowing collection of signature discs.
The hinged top part can fit cylinders/pipes of up to 52mm.
There is also an adapter for swapping the orientation of the discs, either perpendicular to the wall or parallel to it.
Lastly there is also a little stopper that you add to the final hanger in your little hanger tree to remind you that you have enough discs and you should appreciate what you got.
All of the parts can be printed WITHOUT SUPPORTS! (Except for the Main hanger modules that the discs hang on)
---
Every part can be printed separately or in one go if your printer is dialed.
I recommend printing in PETG or PLA+
Amount of filament needed for all parts incl. 2 "Main module"-s is roughly 35 grams. Printing the parts on my BambuX1C took about 2 hours.
---
Optimal layer height is 0.12mm. Infill doesn't really make a huge difference, best you stick above 10% though. Golden ratio seems to be 25%. Sweet spot for walls is 4 loops (Don't go under 2). Top and bottom at 3.
I recommend ORIENTING the parts as seen in the pictures i've included of my slicer.
