This is an iteration on my “Bookbind Hinge” flexure I developed. I noted that the flexure restricted motion in several directions and realized that more than two instances could restrict all but linear movement. This model is a demonstration of that.

With three 'bookbind hinge' arrays, you can restrict the motion into one linear movement.

This takes twelve M3 x 12mm socket head screws to assemble.

Printing

The flexure needs to be printed with some specific

Material:

PETG or more flexible parts

Any material for handles.

Perimiter Generation:

Classic, Not Arachnae!

Seams: Painted here, or in another spot that does not interfere with the flexure bands

The idea is to get the flexure to be made from entirely one or two lines of plastic.

I've included my .3mf file that contains these settings.
