The pulse oximeter is a vital tool for monitoring patients' essential parameters, making it indispensable in clinical simulations. To avoid the challenges associated with using real pulse oximeters—often hard to obtain or quite expensive—I’ve created a printable 3D model. This option is not only budget-friendly but also a safe way to enhance the realism of your clinical simulations without breaking the bank.

You can choose to print the model using soft materials for a more tactile experience or create a mold with a hard material (as I did). By pouring grey silicone into the mold (I’ve used Zhermack 00-20 silicone, but feel free to explore other brands as well), you’ll end up with a prop that looks quite realistic!

A Friendly Reminder: THIS IS A SIMULATED DEVICE AND DOES NOT MEASURE PULSE OR BLOOD OXYGEN CONTENT. It is intended solely for educational purposes.

If you're interested in creating a complete patient vital signs monitor, don’t forget to check out my other models, including an SpO2 sensor and an ECG electrode clip prop!

Have fun printing, and if you’d like to support my work, consider buying me a cup of hot chocolate! :)
