So called “Useless Machines” these days are too complex, verging on useful! This machine will be a complete waste of your time and material.

The print uses a piece of 1.75mm filament to attach the switch.

Print Instructions.

Orient the box so it's facing down with the text upright on the side. Orient the switch on it's long side. I recommended with supports. I used 20% infill and 0.2 layer height with PLA, but it doesn't really matter, it's useless anyway.

Assembly Instructions

  1. It's not rocket science, you can figure it out. But if not…
  2. Remove supports.
  3. Make sure the filament fits through the holes in the box and switch.
  4. Line up the hole in the switch with the holes in the top of the box, make sure the hook is facing away from the front.
  5. Pass a rubber band through the mount in the box. I recommended passing a paperclip through, wrapping it around the band, then using the clip to pull the band through.
  6. Attach the ends of the rubber band to the hook.
  7. If necessary, tighten the rubber band by pinching a length of it between the mount and the hook, then give it a twist to create a loop and pull it over the hook.
