This is my 2nd design of Lelit Elizabeth steam knob cover.
Check my 1st design here.
I feel this type of design is more comfortable to grab and turn compare to my 1st model.
The cover is inserted from the back of the original knob and secured with a threaded cap to prevent it coming loose easily.
Additional cap cover with Lelit logo supplied, to hide the ugly threaded cap shape.
Installation instructions:
1. Print the knob, cap, and cover. 0.2 layer height or lower is recommended. No support needed.
2. Remove the original knob by carefully pulling it from the machine (you may need to wiggle it slightly), insert the original knob into the 3d printed knob, and secure it with the threaded cap. Put the cover on.
3. Reattach the knob to the machine.
Important: Ensure that you align the flat part of the shaft with the corresponding flat part of the hole on the knob (see picture).
4. Enjoy using the new knob.
You can download the .step file to remix or create your own knob if desired. Original knob model availabe to download on my previous steam knob design page.
I printed it with petg, and I've been using it for 2 weeks now, so far so good, no warping or loose problem.
It's a little bit crooked on my machine, I guess the alignment of steam valve assembly to the body isn't 100% perfect.
Happy steaming.
