I needed to replace some shelf brackets in my kitchen so I designed these, and I wanted to make them better and stronger than the original ones.  I printed these in PA6-GF (glass-fiber reinforced nylon), but any decently strong material should do well.

The peg is sized for a 5mm diameter hole, and I may add one later for 6mm.

Print Settings

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • Walls: 6
  • Supports: Standard (for the peg)

With 6 walls it will essentially be solid, and infill doesn't matter.

A note about print orientation: I included a screenshot of my slicer to show how I print these.  As this is a load-bearing part, you want the load to be perpendicular to the layer lines.  It's possible to to print this without supports if you have the peg pointing up diagonally, but it won't be as strong.
