“Simple… cute… like a snail… maybe an elephant”
This is a simple tape dispenser with a cute shape that sits comfortably in the hand or on a desk. The roller has spring loaded knobs and threads together straight off the printer.
Available with cutting teeth or with a 1mm slot to install metal teeth. Adding a metal spring (~ 8-10mm) in the middle of the roller makes it as fun as the tape roller knobs I played with as a kid.
Print: 1 x LilTaper with or without teeth, 2 x RollerAx2, 1 x RollerB, 1 x RollerC
Assembly:
Insert one RollerA into RollerB and one into RollerC
Place a spring(s) in the middle of the roller
Screw roller together with threads
Marvel at 3d printing fabrication
Press down knobs to insert the roller into the base
Use for taping
OR
Pull roller back out of base and play with knobs
Tooth note:
The plastic teeth work but require sharpening with a file for long term use. Metal teeth pulled from a packing tape cutter is a one and done option. Pressing them into place with a warm soldering iron gives them a good permanent hold.
