This is a front cover for the Asus ROG Ally.
Meant to be a super light-weight solution that's better than just throwing your device into your bag.
Offers a barrier between your bag and device, covering the screen, power button, and front facing buttons. Triggers are still left exposed.
Printing Instructions:
15% Infill - Cubic is nice but not required.
Requires supports.
I would suggest a 10mm brim at the least to help with adhesion.
I would suggest printing it on the flat end (not where the lip curves up) and have it printed essentially vertically.
On adhesion:
Superglue will probably work (I haven't tested this). I think a stronger adhesive might even be better, something like Epoxy. Definitely let it cure.
I personally use 3D PLA Goop. It's held strong and has no signs of breaking.
On fit:
You'll want to fit the cover onto the device by hooking the top first, then popping the bottom on.
The current model is meant to be slightly looser to account for 2 pieces of 1mm Felt Tape on either end. That's added for protection so you don't have bare plastic touching/marring your device.
I would highly suggest using some felt tape on the front where the screen is as well.
If there's demand, I can upload a file that's a little more snug without the felt tape.
