I created a mount for the Mini-Stealthburner fan shroud and orbiter 2.0 extruder. I intended for this to be for my heavily modded Ender 3 v2. I decided to convert my Ender 3 v2 to a Voron Switchwire Style Core XZ printer. It also features an integrated mount for the CR touch.
Disclamer
I hope that people find this helpful, I simply created this for my own needs. I have tested this mount on my own printer and seems to be working great, but that doesn't mean that it's guaranteed to work on your setup. I am by no means a 3D modeling pro and still learning!
Hopefully someone can take inspiration from this to create an even better one!
Insights:
- No modifications needed to the original “Mini StealthBurner Orbiter mount by @Oleynick_266380", basically plug and play
- I printed all these prints in ASA with a .12 Fine setting in BambuStudio Slicer on my P1P
- I used 100% infill just to ensure that they are solid pieces, I'm sure you could probably get away using a smaller infill.
- I used supports everywhere
- I sliced the "X bearing block in half so that the CR touch cable can run through the center without issue. It doesn't loose any integrity for the mount.
- This mount is also compatible with the original inductive probe mentioned in the official Switchwire BOM
- Compatible with MGN12H linear rails
- You might want to mount it to the linear rail first before inserting the M3 square nuts
BOM:
- 2 M3x35 BCHS to mount the fan shroud to the mount
- 1 M3x30 BCHS to mount the fan shroud to the mount in the center
- 2 M3x40 BCHS to bind the “Mount Left & Mount Right”
- 2 M3 thin square nuts (or M3 hex nuts)
- 3 M3 hex nut
- 2 M3 5x4mm heat set inserts for fan shroud
Future Iterations:
- Sorry no wire strain relief piece for this one yet, still a WIP
