Description

PDF

This model is meant to help give a place under your desk for all your cluttered computer wires to go. There are grills for cable ties and the design is modular so you can make it as long as you need it! There are 4 clamp sizes depending on how thick your table is (1-4 inches). Tolerances are 0.4mm roughly. If there are any questions or suggestions, feel free to ask or leave in the comments!

Important! For structure, make sure you have at least 3 walls/perimeters when slicing and infill matters the most for the screws which I recommend making it more solid so it doesn't sheer!

Updates:

7/11/2023

  • Added a 1.5 inch clamp and an even longer screw
  • Improved rail and base connection with more robust dovetail design (Older version still available in folders)

6/23/2023

  • Added a clamp without the screw if you don't want to use so many screws for particularly long tray designs while still having support
  • Updated all clamp models with cutouts inside to promote more walls during slicing for added strength

INSTRUCTIONS:

The Images below show you the basic components. You will need at minimum:
2x CLAMP, 2x SCREW, 1x BASE, 2x RAIL (Rails are optional)

ASSEMBLY:

You can see below the basic structure.

  1. Attach Screws to clamps first (without tightening)
  2. Attach the rails into the base slots
  3. The base slides into the clamp and should just snap into place with the notches lining up and reach halfway into each clamp for both sides of the base.
  4. The rest follows a similar format. Creating a longer version is just a matter of repeating the same thing and extending the design.
