UPDATE: 07/03/23

I have gone ahead and added a version with looser tolerances for those who were having issues printing the original model. The original model had clearances of 0.3mm minimum and I have loosened them up to 0.45mm minimum. I have also gone ahead and added some chamfers to the bottom of the print to hopefully help with first layer issues. If you know that your printer is not well tuned, maybe try out the looser tolerance model. I have not printed and tested the looser tolerance model yet but I will here soon!

About/General:

These are about as useful as you may think plastic vise grips are.

If you want stronger vise grips than you can increase the wall line count, I used 10 walls and it seems fairly sturdy.

If you are having trouble loosening the adjustment screw it may be necessary to use pliers to turn the screw by the threaded portion rather than the wing nut. You may also need to rock the adjustment screw nut block back and forth as well.

I have printed a few 75% versions successfully, though I had to loosen the adjustment screw with pliers. I would recommend to use the looser tolerance version if you are trying to scale it down!

Settings:

NO SUPPORTS NEEDED!

I printed mine out of PETG at 0.3mm layers.

Your printer will need to be relatively well tuned- bottom layer, cooling, and extrusion calibration will be important to successfully print this model.
