Mine eventually warped and deformed. Not sure petg is the best material for this. I think I did it at 40+% infill (lost my old gcodes).
Might see if I can get someone to cnc something like this.

@jublin Interesting. A cnc'd metal belt clip extension would definitely be far superior to any plastic. If you get one made I'd love to see a picture of it before you install it.
In the interest of improving this model, could I ask you a couple of questions? How long did it last before it started deforming? Did you print a lot with it? Do you print mostly with low temp or high temp materials?
I've had mine fitted since May 2023, (printed at 20% infill) and haven't seen any deformation yet....maybe my tension is too low. I print almost entirely with PETG so would expect to see some bending if heat was to blame. Maybe there is a way to reinforce the corners...or close the slot and create a perpendicular opening to insert the belt at one end. Just thinking out loud.
Thanks for the feedback. If I figure anything out I'll post it here.
@scot_723287 it lasted around… 3 months? I did a lot of printing. Mostly pla/petg, but some abs as well.
I’ve since swapped out the sprite pro for a biqu h2v2s.
Another problem I had with the sprite in general was poor dimensional accuracy. Things needed fairly loose tolerances to fit properly. I’m not sure if this bending played into it.
One thing I would say is have a chamfered/sloped reinforcement coming off of the circle for the mounting nut. Might give some more strength that way. I’d be happy to give it a shot for modifying.
@Voez_1417363 Apologies for the late reply. The kit should have come with a U-shaped bracket that acts as an adjustable stop. The bracket adds extra depth to the left side triangular portion of the carriage. This allows it to trigger the endstop microswitch.
I'm fitting my Sprite Pro at the weekend so wanted to make sure I had these printed in advance.
Thanks for the nice, quick and easy print
@Simon_987357 Great to hear, thank you. I hope the installation goes smoothly. Let me know if you run into any problems.
