Kress/AMB Mount for Root 3 CNC

Holder for Kress/AMB Spindles for Root 3 CNC allowing for long travel in Z-direction.

The spindle mount features two clamps to securely mount the spindle and the possibility to mount the threaded nut on top or on the bottom. You can choose between two versions of the upper clamp: one featuring the Root CNC logo and a plain clamp. The bottom clamp also comes in two versions. Both feature a pipe connector for 30mm vacuum pipes. The spindle Clamp MP version also features four holes as a multi-purpose mount (for lasers, pens, etc.).

On the bottom of the spindle mount, you will find several holes intended for magnets with a diameter of up to 6mm or threaded inserts. You can use those as mounting points if you want to add a brush.

Attention!

This design requires threaded inserts to mount both clamps and the threaded nut. I am using M3 Ruthex threaded inserts, therefore all holes for inserts have a diameter of 4mm. If you are using different inserts, check if they fit. If not, either drill the holes wider or modify the stl file accordingly.

Notes:

Supports are necessary for the Base and the upper clamp. I suggest printing everything upright.
