The Vortex Viper fully height adjustable cooling system for the H2 V2S LITE extruder.

Make sure your printer is set up well, there are very tight tolerances & tiny details here! These files print perfectly well on a tuned machine so please don’t leave a bad review just because you had difficulty printing them, that’s not cool.

Use PETG or better, 0.2mm layer height. Preferably with a 0.4mm nozzle for best results

Print ducts standing with the vents in the air, use inner & outer brim. Be sure to have some internal supports just to get the things started at the joint of the two vents, no other supports needed.

Print duct mount upright with the bolt mounting hoop at the top. Some supports can help with the arches here.

Print fan mount flat on its front face.

To correctly attach the duct mount, use a short 4-6mm bolt in the left front lower extruder mounting hole as a locating stud then add the mount with a retaining bolt to the upper mounting slot while sliding the recess over the lower stud bolt. Do not over tighten or you'll strip out the soft stock aluminium bolts supplied with the extruder.

Attach the fan mount to the two bolts on the right front of the extruder, lower it to seat correctly into cutout in the duct mount. Do not over tighten or you'll strip out the soft stock aluminium bolts supplied with the extruder.

IMPORTANT!

Install the 5015 fan & fix in place by using BOTH bolt holes in the fan! 25mm M3 bolts & nut. This is important as the fan is used as an integral structural part of this model that holds all parts in alignment & in the correct positions.

NOTE: The mouth of the duct mount is meant to be very tight so it doesn't leak, & some fans are slightly larger than others, so if you find your fan doesn't seat correctly & the bolt holes don't line up, carefully flash a windproof blue flame lighter over the mouth of the duct mount to warm it up & soften it allowing your fan to deform it enough to now seat correctly. Obviously don't overdo this & don't force the fan or you'll break your print. Think Goldilocks, gotta be just right.

Now take the fan ducts & add a thin bead of super glue or suitable alternative to the flat mating surface & align it with the nozzle, extruder & other assembled parts & glue it to the corresponding mating surface of the duct mount part. Hold until set.

Lastly adjust the unit to the desired height & test, you may need to adjust a couple of times to achieve the best results!

NOTE: The Probe mount is designed for use with my Vortex V2 Linear Rail system model, posted here….

https://www.printables.com/model/395642-vortex-v2-linear-rail-system-sovol-sv01-pro-biqu-h

It is designed for a specific printer but you can use just the carriage on any machine with a vertical X rail.
