I needed/wanted a fairly basic adjustable scope so I knocked this out. Mrheathpants then made something much better looking but not adjustable for a project he was working on, which I then demanded he share so I could add my sight pieces into to make this sight. Thus the Meaker-heathpants-peaker Fauxolo sight was born.
Uses #6/m3.5 OR #4/m2.6 coarse thread screws/bolts (eg: sheet metal pan screws, plastite screws, wood screws) and glue. No support required, parts may need to be laid flat. Print the fauxolo sight body with your choice of adapter and of screw bar and the bar's (2) matching wheels. Should be a ~30g/2hr print, depending on your settings and machine capabilities. Assembly should be as follows:
Everything is loosely held in by friction and (depending on assembly methodology) screw tension. It is possible that it will loose positioning, but for my testing it was adequate and held up to abuse. Adding tension to the parts by roughing up surfaces or adding shims should be possible.
Files are for personal use only, excepting those who do not have a printer and wish to commission a print from someone else. In that case, permission is granted for a print retailer to sell a single copy of this file for their normal retail rate at the request of the end user - this does not constitute permission for a print retailer to list this item for sale.
