This is a traffic light you can use with any sensor. Here it has a Sparkfun audio detector but you could hook anything up like wind speed for people who live on the water, temperature for folks who are heat sensitive, etc. It has three holes at the top for pots, and a smaller hole at the bottom for the sensor input jack, or in this case it's used for the microphone.
Here, the program detects if the ambient sound level stays over a threshold value for a delay time, and changes the light from green, to yellow as a warning, and then to red when the delay timer expires. Then it's quiet time for your specified time.
Print 6 outside frames, 3 top covers, 3 lend rings, 2 backs, 1 top cover, and 1 bottom cover, and get your glue gun out. The holes fit M4 machine screws but you can use almost anything in there. The lenses are sized for this cutter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08216DC9Q and I used some of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0932QZ29L discs in the back. I added cutouts from a security envelope as a diffuser.
