I bought a PTC heater to build my own filament dryer that would allow the hot, wet air to escape instead of being trapped in the box like "professional" dryers do (bad design!), but the mounting was not very user friendly, so I created this adapter to mount a standard 60mm fan (50mm mounting hole distance) on it.

The base for the fan is wider than the fan itself, so it can be mounted anywhere.
The fan only circulates air inside the cabinet, so it can be placed anywhere. Only the case of the dryer has small holes at the bottom and top (diagonal position) to allow some fresh air to come in through the bottom hole while some moist air can go out through the top hole.

Should only be used with the fan on, as the heating element - without any cooling - goes up to 200°C (measured), where it sticks (PTC characteristics).
So maybe a more heat resistant type of filament would be better.

Bit of help needed - use "trees" instead of "normal". Tried with normal and one of the supports started in the middle of the funnel wall, but did not stick well enough and fell off - failprint.
As trees it starts on the bed and all is well. Just take care of this.

I built a shorter version too, but felt that was too steep for airflow. I added it, but did not use it.

Same with the "longer" version, better airflow, but maybe too big - depending on what you like - feel free :-)
