This simple mount comprises an inner mounting piece and an outer frame which is purely decorative.
There is a choice of two inner mounts, a slender “minimal” one, or a thicker version which covers the sides of the instrument and makes it look a little more “built in”. Batteries can be changed without removing either from the mount.
If you choose not to use the face piece I recommend using pan head (domed) screws.
Two 3mm holes are required but no further sealing is necessary.
If you are using IKEA 356+ 10.6l boxes - using this DRILLING TEMPLATE will guarantee perfectly level, centred placement every time.
Use M2 screws and nuts in any length from 6mm to 16mm.
These are printed in Prusament Galaxy Silver PLA, with a 0.4 Nozzle and 0.2mm QUALITY mode. The top face of the outer piece is printed with a concentric top fill layer.
I used a small brim when printing the mount piece for piece of mind but it should not be necessary.
