A very rough and ready raspberry pi enclosure for the ender 3 which sits underneath the display.
It was one of the first models I ever uploaded to printables and also one of the first I designed exclusively in FreeCAD.
Mounts to the printer using the original screws that anchor the display to the 20x20 extrusion, so it is sandwiched between the extrusion and the metal casing of the display.
This should not be classed as a long-term solution as it has some problems, such as the back of the enclosure being a bit flimsy due to the big hole for the display ribbon cable.
There are much better examples using similar designs but this one was designed in FreeCAD as an exercise and I wanted to see if I could reduce the complexity of design to make a faster-to-print solution.
Feel free to tweak/remix this version.
FreeCAD source included.
WARNING: This model has been deprecated as I no longer use the Ender 3 printer it was designed for. Some of the methods used to design this model are far from optimal but it may serve as a useful reference for those new to FreeCAD.
