a DIY Fume extractor/Air Purifier*. It is based around an activated charcoal filter and a 120mm fan. The fan is powered via an 18650 battery that uses a 1S BMS to protect the Li-ion cell, and then a boost converter is used to boost the 3.7v to a useable 12v- it also allows fluctuations in the input voltage and a stable output voltage. This allows the purifier to be portable and easily stored away for later use.
* I did not test that this device removes any VOC from the air or any other contaminants, I only visually observed that smoke goes in the filter and doesn't come out the other end. -Recreate at your own risk-*
