made to go with this USB-C DAC or similar
can't be bothered to right instructions at the moment, most of it you can figure out from the picture anyway, but here's some details about this setup:
-The red part you see where the usb-c connector is is a 3d printed support piece. On one side it conform to the shape of the headset around the connector, and on the other rehouse the USB-C connector of the DAC completely. the wide profile and large surface area of contact between the two make it so that it will stay firmly connected whichever way you push and pull on it.
-The cable come out of this modified connector toward the front of the headset so that looping it back toward the strap add zero friction and tension when tilting the headstrap.
-I also chose this DAC because of the position of the power-pass-through USB-C which is in a convenient place when mounted to the strap as shown.
-I also printed a wedge to tilt the DAC outward so the charging cable is right against the the facial interface to minimise strain on the charging cable connector.
