Sample Box with Lid with Fully Parametric Fusion360 Design

Introducing a versatile and customizable 3D printable storage box I designed specifically for filament samples. This sturdy box can also be used to store a variety of small items, making it an excellent addition to your 3D printing projects. The fully parametric Fusion360 design allows you to modify dimensions, the number of compartments, and other design parameters to suit your needs.

Requirements

To print the model as displayed, you will need the following materials:

• Approximately 160g of filament
  • Prusament PLA Galaxy Black
  • 3DJake PLA Transparent
• Two M3 x 50mm screws
• Two M3 hexagonal nuts

How to Print the Box

Two Prusa Slicer example projects, LR2327-lid Print.3mf and LR2327-box Print.3mf, are included with all recommended settings. You may use these projects directly or refer to the table below for guidance:

Dimensions

The showcased box is designed to accommodate filament samples from the basic sample system and has the following dimensions:

• Width: 80mm
• Height: 32mm
• Thickness: 3mm

The box features 10 compartments, each holding 6 samples, for a total capacity of 60 samples.
