Loved this model so much I wanted more……   ( Thank you Jéjé l'ingé  @Jejelinge_724355 )

So I added a third party sound module -

I have it programed to play at 7am CST but there is a button on the back right that can be pressed to play the sound on demand.

I removed the side power port and added my own on the back bottom.

These are the items I used to make this remix.

WayinTop Sound Module Button Control Music Voice Player Programmable Talk Chip Musical 8MB MP3 WAV USB Downloadable with AA Battery Box + USB Cable for DIY...

  • I used digital pin 2 for high level trigger - which was soldered to the sound module board in the high level trigger position
  • I added a ground to the back of the switch ground and that went to ground on the ESP32 - requires a common ground between the ESP32 and Sound Module
  • ino file with edits are here for download.. just change your SSID and password.
  • Be sure to change your time zone and at line 158 change what time you want it to go off
  • or remix the heck out of it… have it play every hour, every half hour or every quarter hour!!

The one thing I wish the author would do or consider is to modify the back plates so they snap in and can be removable or add mounts so the back plates can be screw on.  I was in a hurry to finish so I just glued the back plates on.
