HK 20a/30a UBec ESC Flashing Tool

This is a flashing adapter for the HK 20/30amp ubec ESC.

This will give you a clothes pin style clip to make contact with the contacts on the board.

I am not going to go into details on flashing the ESC as there are already numerous sites already out there about that.

For the pinouts of the HK 20a/30a UBec ESC see the attached picture.

For the pins I just pulled some pins out of some pin headers (see picture) you can get them from hobbyking, amazon, or a million other places, they are extremely common.

Tip: to make the contacts make contact since they are not spring loaded after filing them flat and getting them close take some sandpaper and something thin and flat (I used a blank piece of circuit board) to hold the pins at the right height and to make it easier to pull the sand paper then gently pull the sandpaper out a few times, I used wet/dry paper which is black so when I saw 6 evenly colored copper lines on the sandpaper I knew it was nice and flat.

Warning: the pinout for the 20a/30a is very different than the 10a from hobbyking, pay attention to your wiring.

Flashing ESCs pretty much void your warranty, and once flashed you cannot get the original firmware back.
