Although I've been very happy with my original snap in adapter (https://www.printables.com/model/297396-ssd-to-hdd-adapter), it will not work for slot mount or any system with a stationary SATA connector.
This adapter was specifically designed to put the SATA port exactly where a standard HDD's is. The only potential hiccup is that you will only be able to use 3 of the original HDD mounting screws, so I added an extra screw hole at the rail junction. This way you can keep track of the 4th screw in case you ever swap back to an HDD for any reason.
You will only need to provide the 2 screws to connect the SSD to the adapter. I commonly use the thinner threaded screws from desktop PC building.
If you find any problems with the model, please let us know and we will attempt to fix them within reason.
