A very tiny traffic cone for all of your small construction zones! Fashioned from two snap-fit TPU pieces for ease of printing.

Example models use Overture Orange 95A TPU for the body and Overture Clear 95A TPU for the reflector. Model is untested with non-flexible materials, but press fitting might be possible. Examples printed at 0.15mm layer height (.2mm 1st layer). If you experience large amounts of stringing when printing in TPU, I would recommend aligning the z-seam to one side of the cone to reduce travels across the empty interior gap.

There is a second cone body file that includes internal ribs to improve cone stack stability. Both use almost the same amount of filament, but the improved stacking version tends to string more.

Some lovely Redditors have also suggested a few extra uses:

  • RC car track making
  • Toys for playsets
  • Ring holder (would have been a fun entry for that contest lol. I have also been doing this at work since reading the suggestion.)
  • Prank material (James Veitch rubber duck style. Hide the cones everywhere. I had already embraced this beforehand and have been terrorizing everyone I know with them.)
  • Desk Trinkets
  • Marker for small ground spills
  • Topper for a Duke of Wellington 3D print

Size:

31mm x 31mm base

41mm tall

(Tiny!)

Edit: 50% scale cones also work very well from my testing! Just a little more clean-up work. User @DotDotDash has successfully tested the design at 130% scale too.

Materials List:

1x Cone Body (~3.3g) OR 1x Cone Body Stackable (~3.5g) (Both are still stackable!)

1x Cone Reflector (~0.5g)
