Description

PDF

Fusion 360 source file is uploaded, now improved with parameters to change the space for battery (thickness and compartment size).

The stand works on all versions of MakerBadge.

The PCB is held by snaps in 4mm holes. To remove it, there are two holes from back side that can be used to push the badge out of holder.

The holes are intentionally 2.8mm, so they can be used for M3 screw if anyone was interested in some kind of expansion.

Print

  • any solid material you want (PLA, PETG) in about 1.5h.

The hardware

Maker badge is made by @dronecz and can be bought here

EDIT version 2:

Added a tighter version for the stand, so it does not fall out

  • s-MakerBadge-stand - 0,125 sides and 0,25mm top clearance
  • MakerBadge-stand-0.1clearance - 0,1mm all around - can be slid in easily, but holds in place.

Added attachemnt for neck band, to use it as a badge. :)

  • MB-Neck-thread-attach
  • Attachd in place with 2x M3x8-10 cuntersunk bolts.

EDIT version 3:

  • file names: s-231116-MB-case-verD-bigBatt
  • Big battery space with no compartments
  • 0,1mm clearance on stand
  • Can hold 5mm thick battery (6.3mm of space below PCB, the display connector is about 1mm thick)
