This is a shielded LED bar mount for Voron 0.2 and likely 0.1 for the affordable “Daylight on a matchstick v2.1 by RZT”. This has an additional switch. Original design can be found here:
https://github.com/VoronDesign/Voron-Hardware/tree/master/Daylight
This mod reduces glare from the LEDs and it was designed to have minimal effort.
Benefits:
Both models can be printed without support.
I recommend ASA/ABS and a layer height of 0.2mm.
For each side you need to print
Hardware required:
The LED bar for this specific upgrade can be found here:
Instructions:
Turn the printer off and disconnect the ac power plug (just to be on the save side).
The connector on the PCB is too big for the limited space in the Voron V0.
You either have to:
Put the LED bar into the LED shield and attach the 2 brackets to it by tighten it with M3x12 screws.
Lead the wires through the groove of the profile and connect it to your 24V source
Push the brackets into the profiles groove.
Done! :)
Update:
I was asked to create a model that can be printed by a Voron 0.
Its attached now as “LEDshield_printable_with_Voron0.stl” - have fun :)
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
