I am adding some pegboards to my workshop area. I want to cover most of a wall with them - and I'm using several 2'x4' boards mounted vertically to do it. I'd like to leave a consistent 1" of space between each, and so I designed a spacer jig to help me do just that!

I've uploaded my 1" spacer, but I'd be more than happy to provide a few alternatives to suit your particular needs.

This jig has eight pegs (four per side) which should slot snugly into your pegboards. To use it, attach at least two of these to a new board near the top and bottom, and clip it to the already-mounted board. Ensure it is level (possibly using this handy Spirit Level Pegboard Shelf) and mark the mounting points on the wall. Once you've mounted the new board, you can just detach the jigs!

I'd love to see your uses/makes of these on your own pegboards. Comments & criticism always welcome.
