This is a remix of the holder for an inductive sensor on a Pipersberg G4 RF1 c. It is used for an 18mm sensor with which I got more stable readings. It also comes with a thicker bolt that fits more tightly in the little cavity.
I have also created a matching case for an ESP8266 D1 mini and an ESPHome config for the gas meter with a D1 Mini.
I have used PETG, but any other material should work just as well. For the bolt I used the original model but slightly scaled it using PrusaSlicer, see dimensions below. I have attached the modified SCAD files.
Printer | MK3s+ |
Filament | Prusament PETG Urban Grey |
Infill | 15% |
Supports | None |
Dimensions for bolt | 30 mm, 7.6 mm, 4 mm (X, Y, Z) |
Put the bolt into the holder (may need some force, really is a tight fit now, move it through so that it sticks out ~5mm. Place the holder such that the nudge fits into the meter's right groove. Then squeeze the bolt in (vary position until it fits), align tightly to meter. Then screw in the sensor. Holds for me without any screws.
