Sovol SV06 Y Axis Tension Knob Spacer (No Face Plate Mod)

I think the decorative plastic panels on the SV06 make it look cheap. There's really nice metal frame inside, why cover it up with plastic?

The rear panel removed without issue, but I discovered that the front panel is needed to provide a surface for the belt tensioner knob to press against. I remembered seeing a replacement hex style front panel when looking around for mods. I like the hex look, but didn't want to print a whole replacement panel.

I figured I could just chop a small part of that design out, which is exactly what I did. All credit for the design goes to “pimpyourprinter” for making the original part. They had to put all the work into measuring it and getting the dimensions right. I had to make 3 cuts and then export a new STL.

I printed it in PETG with 5 perimeters and infill is irrelevant, since with that many perimeters it's solid. It should work just fine printed in PLA, too.
