A little baby level increasing the usefulness of those tiny levels that are readily available.  Mine were from here:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07DMF57KM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But others are available, the key is the dimensions - 29mm x 10mm x 10 mm.

Update 4/5/2023 - Level size 40mm x 15mm now uploaded, check the comments below the file names.

I've included 3 different models depending on the magnet size you have, but I think the 8mm perform better personally.

Magnet and level fitting tolerances are set at 0.3mm so there shouldnt be any issues with hole sizes but the level fitting is tight.

Dont forget to print the letters, they should import in the correct orientation, face down.  Print that way and if you print on a PEI sheet its easy to spot which way around they should be when you come to install them looking at the texture.  They are tapered slightly inwards.

Double check your magnet sizes before print a model, my 8mm x 3mm were actually 8mm x 2.75mm.  I've included 8mm x 3mm if you happened to get the ones you ordered :)

Print settings

Level @ 0.20

Letters @ 0.16

Level - Printed the level at 0.20mm with the following settings for support:

Note “On build plate only” just for the underside magnets, the bridging doesnt need support generally.  You dont want any support interface material inside the slot, will cause issues when inserting.

Lettering  - The lettering is quite small, print at 0.16, no supports.  Dont forget to print extra B, L & E's (like I've done twice now!)

Installation

  • Pop out the underside magnets supports, should come out easily.
  • Glue the letters into their respective slots.
  • First check on your desk that the level is indeed level.  Place it down check the bubble position - then turn it 180 degrees, does it read the same?  If not flip onto another face.  I've noticed that some of the levels are not quite flush on all faces, but flipping over and re-testing is usually fine.
  • Push the level down into its slot.
  • Insert magnets, possibly add a dab of glue depending on your printers accuracy.
  • Rejoice, go and level stuff! :o)

All my models are free to download and remix as you see fit, however if you would like to support me please take a look at my Printables Club where all my Fusion360 design files are available to Club members.
