This is a semi-permanent conversion for the Nerf Rapidstrike to utilize half length dart based magazines. It is specifically designed to be stealthy and not show itself below the body of the blaster. There is no rattling or movement. It has been tested with the Worker 18 curved, Worker 15 straight and Tachi magazines. You will need to open up the shell to install this and you if you want to remove, it requires reopening the shell again. You will not be able to swap magazine types on the field. This is a precision (tight) fit for Worker Talon magazines. The Tachi is a little looser. You will not get gravity dropping trading instead for consistent and precision fit for the magazines in feeding to the cage. This has been tested with a Banned Blasters Stryfe cage. The paddle release is designed for maximum comfort and performance. I've found it's more important for a wider thumb access rather than a longer lever that most blasters tend to go for. Print the release on the side. File or shave out the inner cylinder so it's smooth for rotation. The conversion sleeve replaces the original orange magwell liner. You only need supports in the opening where the mag detent comes through. If you have awesome bridging, then you don't need any supports. This design is possible by using andjoe's Rapistrike magwell liner and Tungsten's Talon adapter files as bases. Special thanks to them and catkraze3 (paddle release shape). Take a mallet to push the pivot into place. I used a 35 x 9 mm strong spring. This paddle release does not have a toy like feel. Note: what ever colour you print the conversion frame in, will show up in the Nerf shell cutouts at the magwell.
UPDATE: Have added a looser fit version. I recommend this for a more traditional magazine insert and pull experience. Go original if you want tight and no wobble or movement at the cost of having to consciously hard pull. You can tune this with some filing and sanding. Thanks to Ramen for the prompting and suggestions.
