The pulse oximeter is an important tool for monitoring the patient's vital parameters, and therefore no clinical simulation can be imagined without it.
In order not to use real pulse oximeters, which are often difficult or simply expensive to get, I have created a printable 3d model. It is a cheap and safe option to increase the fidelity of clinical simulations without spending excessive resources.
In order for the two parts of the pulse oximeter to stick together and press on the finger, one of the following methods can be used:
-The recommended option is to take the spring from the clothes peg and put it inside while assembling the pulse oximeter.
-Another option is to use a small hair band - inside the pulse oximeter there are special hooks on which you can put the small hair band so that the pulse oximeter stays on the patient's finger.
-The third and craziest, but visually most unrealistic option, is to use an ordinary stationery rubber, which can be placed on a special groove that goes around the entire pulse oximeter.
I remind you that THIS IS A SIMULATED DEVICE AND DOES NOT MEASURE THE PULSE OR OXYGEN CONTENT IN THE BLOOD, BUT IT IS INTENDED FOR THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS.
Check out my models, I have also ECG electrode clip prop, if you are making complete pateint vitals monitor.
Have fun and don't hesitate to buy me a cup of hot chocolate :)
