I created these to try and motivate my kid to complete his daily tasks. My son is Autistic and has a hard time with assigned tasks and trying new foods. He's not great with routine changes either, so we created this system to try and motivate him to do the things he may not want to do, independently, to hopefully increase his ability to complete tasks without distraction or delay.
Every day, we need to:
1) Go to school (Get dressed, eat breakfast, brush teeth, Get to car on time, etc).
2) Not get “time outs” at school for misbehaving or not listening
3) Complete homework (by 6pm, with no whining, complaining, or delaying the process).
4) Eat new foods at dinner time.
So I created these tokens to represent each activity and he get's one per day, if he does what is expected/does well. We assigned a value to them, so each token is 0.50c (US Dollars) and this way he feels motivated as he can turn in 20 for a 10 dollar toy, or save them up for a large toy like a remote control car or game, etc etc.
We pour them out every Friday and count how we did for the week and how many we have so far for the total. This seems to be working to motivate him to complete work in a timely way and face things he otherwise would not want to face independently.
I printed them out on a bambu P1P as is, 15% infill, 0.2mm layer height. They are not very complicated so I am sure the settings can vary a bit. No supports either so one side is completely flat to avoid needing supports.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
